Denver Rescue Mission’s Board of Directors is comprised of dedicated individuals who are committed to the mission of providing hope, healing, and restoration to those experiencing homelessness and poverty in the Denver metro area. Our board members are passionate about making a positive impact on our community and ensuring that the Mission operates with integrity and efficiency.
Chairman | Finance Committee
Cathy Goss is a finance executive with over 40 years of experience in commercial banking, specializing in client acquisition, relationship development, and risk management. She currently serves as Senior Regional Credit Officer at Independent Financial, handling complex commercial credits with a focus on risk. Previously, she spent 21 years at US Bank, where she led a team of commercial bankers.
Vice Chairman
Rich Carvill has served and led multiple organizations in the B2B marketplace during his more than 40 year career in the Denver area. With a focus on corporate identity, Rich has helped many organizations to more clearly and succinctly communicate their brand value. Rich has held several volunteer leadership roles at his church and has a passion for urban ministry, serving as Ministry Liaison between Cherry Hills Community Church and His Love Fellowship church in Denver.
Treasurer | Finance Committee
Scott Harris had a 42 year career in financial accounting serving most of that time in the controller or CFO position. After starting his career with 11 years in public accounting, he moved into corporate accounting. He spent over 20 years in the mortgage banking industry with additional experience in the nonprofit industry as vice president of finance for a cancer research organization. In his roles, he was responsible for accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis, treasury, human resources and facilities.
Scott has supported the Denver Rescue Mission for over 25 years and began his role on the Board in 2004. He is currently serving his third term on the Board and will have served on the Board for over 16 years when his current term ends.
Secretary
Dustin Hailey is an insurance professional with 10 years of industry experience in sales and client relations, marketing and business development, and staff management. Mr. Hailey is highly skilled in developing strategic partnerships and building long-term customer relationships.
Mr. Hailey began his insurance career as an agent with Liberty Mutual in 2014, then moved to the independent insurance market in 2018. Dustin currently owns and operates Insurance Club, LLC., an agency based in Denver, CO serving over 1,000 individuals and families with their personal insurance needs.
Jon Gettings is the Executive Pastor at Denver Community Church (DCC). He has been in this role for 19 years and helped build an influential, financially stable, and active church community that is not only engaged in their own faith journeys, but also live out their faith in their relationships, neighborhoods, and through non-profit support and engagement. He has a unique ability to lead the business operations while caring for the individuals he works alongside and those in the congregation. He has excellent interpersonal skills, is activated by both strategic planning to solve difficult challenges and also the implementation of that planning and loves working in a team dynamic to see vision fulfilled and lives changed.
Jonathan Holmes is an executive coach and business leader with a passion for community service. Mr. Holmes leverages a unique blend of strategic vision and compassionate leadership to develop leaders who will improve the future of financial services. With a proven track record in budgeting, coaching and project management, Mr. Holmes brings invaluable expertise to the Denver Rescue Mission.
Finance Committee
Leif began his career as a CPA with Deloitte Haskins and Sells for nine years serving high growth companies primarily in technology industries. He then served as President for two growth companies in the software logistics industry, and for the last fourteen years of his career served as Board Chairman, CEO, and President of Bantek West, Inc., an ATM service company where he oversaw the growth of Bantek from a small local company to a national company which became the largest servicer of ATMs in the U.S. He has broad-based experience in all aspects of business, particularly with strategic planning for growth.
Mauri Resseguie is an experienced operations manager in banking and a founding member of the Young Professionals at Denver Rescue Mission, she is passionate about fostering community growth and supporting those in need. She strives to build meaningful connections between emerging leaders and the community, with a focus on service, learning, and empathy. She is excited to join the Board of Directors and aims to deepen relationships within the organization and expand the impact on addressing homelessness in Denver.
Tom Tucker has spent his 45 year career in small mid-size entrepreneurial businesses. His focus has been on building teamwork and shared vision especially during times of rapid change. This has required efforts in many different aspects of business; sales, leadership, finance, employee development and marketing.
After retirement Tucker has spent time and energy volunteering at his church, Passionate Life, as well as tutoring with the Whiz Kids organization and mentoring individuals he met at Denver Rescue Mission while volunteering with the Stronger Cord. Serving several years on the Limb Preservation board, Tucker developed a passion for organization governance and the role of directors supporting and helping staff without directly managing of interfering with staff responsibilities.
