Denver Rescue Mission is proud to partner with the Denver Metro community to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need. Boxes are distributed at Empower Field at Mile High, home of the Denver Broncos, every year on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Registration is required for receiving a box before 12:00 p.m. Please see below for full program details.

Each box provides Thanksgiving meal fixings for a family of 8-10 along with a frozen turkey.

Important Requirements

How to Receive Your Thanksgiving Box

  • Families and individuals will collect their box and turkey at our distribution event on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Empower Field at Mile High, Parking Lot B.
    • Pickup Times: Assigned pickup times between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
      • Please refer to the voucher for your assigned pickup time. 
      • We do not expect to run out of turkeys or boxes, so arriving early won’t increase your chances of receiving your items. Please arrive at your assigned pickup time to ensure smooth service for everyone.
    • Directions: 
      • Enter Lot B off Old West Colfax Ave, south of the stadium. (Get Directions)
        • If arriving from the east (Mile High Stadium Cir or Old West Colfax Ave), stay in the right lane to allow through traffic and left turns. Double turns from the left lane are not allowed. Attempting to cut in from the left lane may cause you to lose your place in line.
        • If arriving from the west (Mile High Stadium West Cir or Federal Blvd), note that there is only one lane, and no dedicated left-turn lane. 
      • Please follow all instructions from police and volunteers directing traffic. 
  • It will be a drive-thru process. Volunteers and staff will guide you to the correct lane.
  • Do not lose your voucher. You must bring the postcard voucher with you at your assigned pickup time to receive your box. If you bring your voucher during your assigned pickup time, you will be guaranteed a turkey and box.
    • If you lose your voucher: Families and individuals who lose their voucher can arrive at the distribution event between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. to pick up a Thanksgiving box, first-come, first-served.
      • If you arrive without a voucher before 12:00 p.m. you will be asked to leave and return after 12:00 p.m.
      • Boxes are limited, but we do not expect to run out.
    • Those who lose or forget their voucher will be asked to leave and return after 12:00 p.m. for the first-come, first-served portion of the day.
    • If you are unable to provide a voucher for all your clients, those without a voucher can also arrive between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. for the first-come, first-served portion of the day.
