Various Shifts Throughout the Day

On Friday, January 24th, we’re adopting the Lawrence Street Community Center for our first-ever Adopt-A-Serve Day! Join us for our next Experience the Mission, when you can serve at one of the many meal preparation or service shifts for the folks at Lawrence Street. You’ll bless the folks we’re blessed to serve, and you’ll learn a lot about what happens at our flagship location that’s been serving Denver for 132+ years.

Multiple Shifts Available Throughout the Day to Fit Your Schedule

We’re looking for 4-5 people per shift for each of the following:

  • Breakfast meal serve (6:45 – 8:30 a.m.)
  • Morning meal prep (10:00 – 11:00 a.m.)
  • Lunch meal serve (11:45 – 1:15 p.m.)
  • Dinner meal prep (2:30 – 3:30 p.m.)
  • Dinner meal serve (5:30 – 7:00 p.m.)

Optional tours will take place at 9:00 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 4:15 p.m.

Helpful Tips

Any more than one person should register as a group; please provide the names of each member of your group. All meal service volunteers are welcome to a meal at the end of their shift. Tours typically take 20 minutes.

The minimum age for volunteering at Lawrence Street is 14 accompanied by someone age 18 or older.

Save a hairnet, bring a hat! Meal service volunteers are required to wear a hairnet or hat for food safety. We welcome you to bring your own hat if you want. Anyone with facial hair may be asked to also wear a beard net.
