The Mission’s three banquets were a huge success in providing dignity to the individuals who step through our front doors.

During our annual Easter festivities, we were striving to give the individuals who use our services a chance to find hope while remembering that Jesus did indeed rise from the tomb on the third day.

Lawrence Street

With the assistance of nearly 40 volunteers, there were 345 meals served under the “Jesus Saves” cross.

After a hiatus because of the Covid-19 health pandemic, for the second consecutive years the Mission was able to provide foot washing to the guests. In addition, the volunteers and staff wash their feet, with Runners Roost generously providing brand-new pairs of shoes.

“It is important to be here and provide for individuals experiencing homelessness. We are taking care of individuals’ wounds and making sure they get the care they need,” Sara, from UC Health Foot and Ankle Orthopedics.

48th Avenue

A beautiful meal, with turkey and ham at the forefront, was served 700 times!

“I used to enjoy Easter with my family. I can’t be there right now, unfortunately, but this meal is a good substitute,” Joseph, guest at 48th Avenue.

A wonderful moment happened between two guests who had suffered leg amputations. Paul and Mark were getting their new shoes and realized they both had the same sized foot and were able to split up a pair of shoes. Paul took the right shoe, with Mark taking the left shoe.

The Mission was blessed with over three dozen volunteers who helped serve the meal as well as helped with feet washing at the location’s sacred space.

The Crossing

The Crossing shelters those in our recovery and housing transition program respectively and the men, women, families and children were given special treatment during this holiday of resurrection.

The children were gifted with an Easter egg hunt as well as special Easter baskets curated by local businesses and organizations. The chef team, alongside our volunteer team, help serve 163 meals during the evening banquet.

It’s Not Too Late. Give Hope Today!

Thank You for Partnering With Us

To everyone who donated this Easter, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Because of your support, we continue to provide not just meals and safe shelter, but also essential programs and ongoing support for individuals striving to rebuild their lives.

We see the impact of your belief in stories like Keshia’s, featured in this month’s Changing Lives newsletter. Motivated by her children, Keshia found shelter at The Crossing. “I just need stability for them and consistency. I can’t give up on them—I’m strong for them.” In November 2025, Keshia and her children moved into one of The Crossing’s Emergency Family Shelter rooms. Immediately, they felt safer. Thank you for being an essential part of their journey and countless others, as together we end homelessness one life at a time in Denver.
