We need your help to provide supplies for the Denver Broncos Youth Center (the Broncos Room). Your support to provide toys and school supplies will help serve the children at Denver Rescue Mission this holiday season and throughout the year ahead.
The Broncos Room is a special partnership between Denver Rescue Mission and the Denver Broncos to serve children at The Crossing. The Crossing hosts the STAR Transitional Program which provides case management, educational resources and mentorship for families. Children receive after-school tutoring, enrichment programs and the encouragement they need to help break the cycle of poverty. The children often experience turbulent family life. The Broncos Room provides a place of support and stability so they can enjoy being a kid.
The Broncos Store is part of a special incentive program to encourage positive study habits and good behavior. Children earn “Broncos Bucks” to purchase items they choose in the Broncos Store by attending youth center activities, doing homework, receiving good grades, volunteering, or demonstrating kindness.
Children can purchase toys and school supplies, which is significant for a child at The Crossing who may have very little to call their own. But most importantly, they achieve a sense of accomplishment and ownership.
Items from the Broncos Store also help to provide a gift for each child for their birthday at the Birthday Bash held at the Broncos Room to celebrate birthdays each month.
