Long-term rehabilitation, crop and livestock operation, food, clothing, youth camp

Harvest Farm is a 100-acre farm and rehabilitation center for men, located in Wellington, Colorado, 70 miles north of Denver. The Farm accommodates up to 72 men who participate in a long-term treatment program.

Men determined to break cycles of addiction and poverty are referred to the Farm by detox facilities, social service agencies, and the legal system. Once there, they find educational, spiritual, and emotional support to assist their transition into society.

New Life Program
Harvest Farm residents participate in the five-phase New Life Program, designed to help them gain the skills, stability, and self-esteem necessary to become productive, self-sufficient members of society. This nationally recognized rehabilitation program combines academics, Bible study, work therapy, and spiritual and emotional counseling in a curriculum extending up to 27 months.

" A lot of people are at the point that if they just get a chance, they can change. The Mission gave me that chance. At Harvest Farm, I found a sense of refuge, direction, and opportunity."
-Dennis

An on-site, computer-enhanced Literacy and Education Center (LEC) allows men to pursue academic and vocational studies. Relational and life skill courses such as anger management and budgeting are also offered. The on-site Harvest Industries job-training program teaches work skills through employment.

Feeding the Needy
The Farm's cafeteria and outdoor barbeque serve tens of thousands of meals to residents, staff, and campground and community guests each year. In addition, the production of farm goods helps supply local groups and other Mission programs with food for the needy, while providing work therapy for residents. Farm production includes pinto beans, sugar beets, silage corn, and produce crops. Livestock includes pigs, cattle, and sheep.
