Things to consider before starting a community collection in your neighborhood:
If you are living in a covenant, be sure to determine if and how you
are able to manage the community collection without breaking rules.
Let your neighbors about how the collection of items will be used.
Much like a thrift store, we will sell the goods to raise money to support
our programs and services. Most items will not go directly to clients
unless they can specifically use them (such as clothing).
Be sure you have room to take other people’s unwanted items for
a few days to a week (depending how long you run the collection) and
it will be protected from inclement weather.
