(Emphasis: Intranet Web Specialist)

Overview:
The Management Information Systems (MIS) – Intranet Web Specialist Emphasis
internship is for college-age men and women seeking a career in Web Management,
E-Business, or a related field. The participant will assist the MIS Director
at our Ministry Outreach Center, while developing skills in intranet; information,
database and project management; and technology training.
Program Description:
The internship will involve researching, planning, developing, implementing,
and maintaining the large-scale intranet program of the Denver Rescue
Mission. This internship will require a minimum of one semester, and
10-20 hours per week.
Activities/Assignments:
•
Assist MIS Director on intranet projects
•
Research standard intranet applications and file system management
•
Build structure for intranet process
•
Attend MIS meetings as needed
•
Gather resources for development of intranet
•
Form task teams as needed
•
Make and maintain adjustments from task team feedback
•
Implement and maintain company-wide intranet functions
•
Assist in training employees on intranet use and function
Required Reading:
• None For all interns:
- Some meals available when on site
- Computer/internet access if applicable to specific placement
For Full-time Interns only:
- Room and board provided
- Computer and Internet access
- $150 monthly stipend
- $250 monthly tuition reimbursement
